Swing on over for a night of dancing Friday, Feb.16 with the Denton Swing Dance Organization.
A beginner lesson offered before the dance allows even those who have never danced before a chance to learn enough steps to dance the night away. It is followed by an open dance floor until the clock strikes midnight. Denton Swing Dance Organization was established to provide and promote swing dancing in the Denton area.
Dances are typically held on the first Saturday and third Friday of every month, with an intermediate workshop before the beginner lesson on the Saturday dances.The hour-long basic lesson costs $7 for non-members and starts at 8 p.m. at the Green Space Arts Collective, 529 Malone St, Denton, TX 76201.
